Dear Sir,
We have just read Renae's letter to you regarding IPC computers.
I purchased a IPC computer approx. 4 years ago and have had nothing
but trouble running a multitude of programs. Technical support here
in Melbourne, Australia, amounted to a computer student coming to my
home to recitify the problems to no avail. The extended 5 year
warrantee which was purchased with the computer is void - due to the
closing of IPC stores in Australia.
I have reformated the machine and now can't find drivers to operate
cd-rom. A local computer service centre, tried searching the Net for
drivers with no luck and alot of wasted time. Sound card running is
an ISP16 with a Sony CD-rom. The local service centre suggest
installing a new motherboard and CPU and sound card & CD, is this be
best option?
I will be interested in your comments.
Yours truly,
from Melbourne, Australia, Peter Smith
